A co-owner and moderator of that group, I didn't quite apply my mind to it, but since there is a specific query here I put on my thinking cap and here we go!

I suspect there might be a typo there. Catch work, so it is rumoured

Catch - hear (as in "Do you catch me?" meaning "Did you hear what I said?") work - explanation withheld so it's rumoured - def for reqd word HEARSAY. So far so good.
